Oakesdale once had three depots,as seen in this postcard photo taken in 1900. On the right is the Northern Pacific Depot which ran a line from Spokane to Lewiston,ID. The depot on the left is the Spokane & Inland Empire Depot which ran from Spokane to Moscow and was later absorbed by Great Northern. The depot in the center of the photo belonged to the Oregon and Washington Railroad Navigation Line. There were no signals or any other safety measures as each company's trains ran over one another's tracks.
