How the Interurbans were an economic benefit for the region's hub of Spokane. Residents of Palouse towns Interurban adjacent used the passenger trains for spending their money in Spokane,as opposed to Spokane injecting money into the Palouse economy. It was the trains use for shipment of agriculture which the palouse really benefitted from.
