The Great Palouse River Flood of 1910

Residents of Colfax gather near the railroad tracks to view the damage caused by the flood, which appears to just be receding when this image was taken. Note the large chinks of debris everywhere. The flood waters carried objects miles downstream and even removed buildings from their foundations.
