Sheep arrive at Lakeview!

Sheep are being unloaded from a barge pushed by the Dora Powell steamboat from Bayview. The animals were brought to Lakeview in the 1920’s and 1930’s to graze on the logged and burned land. This practice was used to help prevent the spread of wildfires. That was a lot of sheep for one barge.
