Skookum Creek Splash Dam.

This Splash dam was on Skookum Creek in the Coeur d’Alene National Forest. The creek was dammed creating a pond that logs were dumped into. When needed the gates of the dam were opened sending a cascade of water and logs down the creek bed to the loading area. Courtesy of the Museum of North Idaho.
