The Georgie Oakes a luxury steamer built by the Northern Pacific Company to carry mail, freight and passengers on the placid inland waters of Lake Coeur d'Alene. It was considered to be one of the fanciest boats on the lake. The Georgie Oakes had staterooms, a restaurant, a bar and could carry 600 passengers.
