About

Spokane Historical is a web and mobile platform for telling stories of Spokane and Eastern Washington.

Spokane Historical is a project of the Public History program at Eastern Washington University. Most of the stories were created by EWU students. Spokane Historical is a free app available on your Android or iPhone smart phone or tablet. You can also enjoy the stories in Spokane Historical on the web at spokanehistorical.org.

Dr. Larry Cebula is Editor of Spokane Historical. He is a Professor of History at Eastern Washington University and the Assistant Digital Archivist for the State of Washington. Assistant Editor Anna Harbine and Allie Hounican do much of the day-to-day production work. Past Assistant Editors Frank Oesterheld and Lee Nilsson created many of the content standards used in the project.

Want to become involved with Spokane Historical? We are seeking partners, stories, sponsors and ideas to add more stories to Spokane Historical. Contact Dr. Larry Cebula at LarryCebula@gmail.com to see how you can help!

This site is powered by Omeka + Curatescape, a humanities-centered web and mobile framework available for both Android and iOS devices.
